Robert Pattinson parle des odeurs qu'il aime, du parfum Dior Homme dans une nouvelle interview avec Allure

The sexiest sound in the world? The faint, fuzzy friction of Robert Pattinson's facial hair as it brushes the receiver on the other end of the line. The second sexiest: his thoughts on beauty.
Allure: A lot of your film roles can be described as canonically handsome men. What's it like to be superlatively hot?
R.P.: [Laughs] It's weird. I never was really up for the good-looking-guy roles, because I've always been quite awkward when meeting people. My Harry Potter role was a good-looking guy, and it was a shock that it was quite easy to get. And then in Twilight, [Edward is] beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. When I turned up for the audition, I had done a job where I'd dyed my hair black, but I had an inch and a half of roots, and I had waxed my body. And then I had a few months where I'd been drinking beer all day, so I had this hairless, chubby body. I looked like a baby with a wig on. [Laughs] After I did Twilight, [my friends said,] "Oh, you’re posing all of the time," and I’m like, "What are you talking about? I’m just standing. And none of you thought I was good-looking two years ago!"
Allure: What does the new Dior fragrance smell like? [Pattinson has been the face of Dior Homme fragrance since 2013.]
R.P.: I hardly ever wear fragrances. If I wear a fragrance, I find it quite overbearing. But this one, for some reason, you don't really notice you're wearing it. I can never really describe it. People are like, "Is it woody smelling?" But I don’t really know what wood smells like. It definitely makes me feel more awake. There’s something fresh about it.

Que pensez-vous de Robert Pattinson en tant que Batman ? Comment ça a été de travailler avec lui jusqu'à maintenant ?
Je n'avais jamais travaillé avec lui avant, mais nous sommes ensemble depuis quelques semaines, j'ai dû faire un test caméra avec lui et maintenant nous nous entraînons et répétons ensemble, c'est une personne charmante et un acteur tellement merveilleux et sérieux. Je pense qu'il est parfait pour le rôle et cela va être une telle aventure. Je suis ravie de l'avoir comme partenaire de crime et d'être là pour s'entraider, car c'est intense. Cela va être un long tournage et il y a beaucoup de pression, mais je sais qu'il couvre mes arrières et moi les siens.

The Lighthouse a remporté deux prix aux Independent Spirit Awards hier soir !
Willem Dafoe a remporté le prix du second meilleur rôle et a d'ailleurs partagé son prix avec Robert lors de son discours !
"Il faut être deux pour faire un tango, il n'est pas là, mais je voudrais partager ceci avec Robert Pattinson"
Jarin Blaschke a de son côté remporté le prix du meilleur directeur de la photographie :
Robert était nominé dans la catégorie "Meilleur acteur", mais c'est Adam Sandler pour son rôle dans Uncut Gems qui a gagné le prix.

Nouvelle interview de Robert Pattinson avec GQ Middle East
Il revient (entre autre) sur sa carrière, la célébrité, les années Twilight et la dernière campagne de Dior Homme.

What?” says Robert Pattinson from beyond the crackling and hissing of the phone line from Paris. “What?” I reply mid-his ‘what’, adding to the static-y confusion of the call. “What?” He replies again, following a brief pause and which just about turns the whole thing into an impromptu take on a scene from his 2019 movie, The Lighthouse. In it, he and Willem Dafoe barked the word at each other, with increased madness, around 54 times. That makes me Dafoe on this call and, reasonably enough, confusion reigns.
The face of Dior Homme since 2013, Pattinson’s career trajectory has an authenticity that you rarely see in other actors. Whether in the sticky heat of an all-consuming franchise like Twilight, the grit and complexity of movies such as High Life and Good Time, or the intensity of what’s next – Batman 2021 – the 33-year-old takes risks with form and genre in his stride.
There’s a boldness to his style choices, too. Big fits, sharp tailoring, the air tie – yeah, Pattinson was on to that way before last year’s red carpet caught up. In many ways, that’s why he makes perfect sense as the face of the fragrance. A guy that evokes the likes of Brando and Dean, who can never quite be pinned down, who somehow manages to reinvent the notion of classic with each passing year.
The fragrance itself? Well you can expect a rich, woody scent with bergamot hits and subtle pink peppercorn notes. It’s a straight-to-the-point scent that’s mirrored in the accompanying short film. Directed by French avant-garde duo, The Blaze, there’s a swaggering beauty to it all, with iconic NYC as the backdrop and punctuated by the swaying, hypnotic dancing of Pattinson. But more on that later. For now, phone lines have been changed, problems have been solved, and we get to work.
You don’t often stop and think about the fame...
“It was only post-Twilight that I realised I’d been working non-stop for around six years. You don’t really appreciate how intense that is. It was only when I began to slow down and take stock of things that I was like, ‘Whoa, I’m in a very different place now’. It’s kind of scary when that realisation creeps in.”
Taking your foot off the gas makes you think...
“It’s a strange feeling. At first you’re concerned with not working every day, then, after a while, you begin to worry about never working again! I had that fear for quite a while.”
